Remember me when I am gone away,
Gone far away into the silent land;
When you can no more hold me by the hand,
Nor I half turn to go yet turning stay.
Remember me when no more day by day
You tell me of our future that you plann'd:
Only remember me; you understand
It will be late to counsel then or pray.
Yet if you should forget me for a while
And afterwards remember, do not grieve:
For if the darkness and corruption leave
A vestige of the thoughts that once I had,
Better by far you should forget and smile
Than that you should remember and be sad.

Nana was always there for us throughout our childhood and I loved her more than anything. I don't think I have a single bad memory of her. I don't remember there ever being any cross words or anything. Only kindness and love always. She taught me so many things, too. It's been hard living so far away from her for so long and I wish I could have spent more time with her in her final years. We did write to each other, though, so I have all of her letters to look back at. It's heart-breaking knowing there are no more letters to come, but I will forever be grateful for her presence in my life. RIP you wonderful woman. Love you more than you could imagine.
